When I got it, first thin that stand out was the Mario graphic on bottom. My 3 & 5 year old got a kick out of Mario with hand over his head. Overall, it looks better and the button behind wheel felt more positive than original Wii U wheel. For $, I think it's worth the experience. Yeah you can use the wii controller w/o wheel but having it definitely enhances the driving and control feel experience. It's kinda awkward pressing the skid button without wheel giving you extended feel and leverage as you turn corners.
- The wheel really works fine (even the button in the back, using others' advice to tilt the remote).
CONS:, the controls are VERY different than Pro Controller ipod touch black Friday 2015 and the main GamePad. So, its awkward to switch to this unless you want to commit to it.
PROS: non-gamers find this much more intuitive than standard controls.. Since Mario Kart 8 is the perfect party game: That's a real plus when playing with guests.
- I prefer this wheel over the original Nintendo Wii Wheel, It feels like I am holding a formula F1 wheel that is more compact and grip is better.
